I'm quite disappointed at a big company for not being more clear about the exact active ingredient and its benefits....
The ingredients list says its "magnesium hydroxide" which isn't useless, but isn't relevant as a daily supplement. It's like the milk of magnesia that your grandparents might have used for constipation and heartburn!
Magnesium is worth reading in to, as the type really matters.
Magnesium citrate, magnesium taurate or Magnesium glycinate are common examples that are more easily absorbed making them more suitable for daily supplements, but which is best for you depends on why you need it.
Also, to avoid drowsiness in the day, it's best taken later in the day.
To avoid tummy upsets or diarrhoea, take it with a meal.
I take mine with my evening meal.
