A product test is neither a competition or a freebie. You aren't guaranteed to receive the product (hence not being a freebie), but at the same time you only receive a product to test if you agree to give the company feedback on it; something you aren't required to do with competition wins. This is why I think LD should have a separate section for product tests. 
I've just done this one. Fill in a pretty easy questionnaire, and then your details, it's that simple. Might as well give it a go.
