I used this when it first came out, and it wasn’t very good in my area. But I might try and re use it now it’s been going around for a while.
You have to be the change you want to see. You could help by volunteering, requesting for free leaflets from Olio and giving it to your neighbours letter boxes. Create the interest. Also list a few items yourself. If you want something give something too.
I'm an Ambassador for Cardiff for the last 4 yrs. When I started there were less than 500 people within 5km. Today there are 11500 members. I have placed flyers down hundreds of homes to help spread the word. I have also helped redistribute surplus of other people's items.
Its a fantastic concept and it involves everyone's participation.
Love this app. I've had a lot of good stuff from here. Obviously it is different depending on where you are x
Just took a look. Very much improved from itx launch. I will start advertising bits on there.
Hate waste but so important to at the moment to offer anything spare you have for those who are finding it hard to get by. Great share. Many thanks
This is such a good idea! I will definitely look into using this when I’m low on funds or need to get rid of some items
I Joined Olio about a month ago and it's a site that allows you to give away any unwanted Items rather than bInning any good quality, food items or non food items like furniture, clothes and many other items absolutely free of charge. I saw lots of Luxury Breads, cakes, makeup, a pair of men's Caterpillar boots and loads more on their App. I arranged to pick up 2x 2 seater Leather Sofas and when I got them, they're virtually perfect!! It's something I really needed and has now saved me a small fortune. It really is a great site to look at guys whether your giving or receiving it's a great way of saving great Items from the bin. Take a look guys it really is worth a look
