Free I Know My Rights (Book)

JoTarpley It's too late now it's 5.30am - I had a fraught afternoon/evening yesterday

I have posted more than 4 already today because I didn't think you could post museum/event freebies that are already free, but, one was posted by another LD poster and although I reported it, it is still there. So to test the theory I have posted 2 similar ones to see if they are rejected and if they are then I will still have 3 freebies.

tumblespots Oh nooo! Life does get stressful, I'm in the middle of that too!

It get's confusing with what's allowed and what isn't, I've seen some slip through and others are late taken off, it's pot luck half the time, but we struggle on under very trying circumstances!

Life is a struggle and I feel for you if you are having problems too and hope all your troubles are halved (it's an old saying).

The removing of some posts seems very random sometimes

tumblespots I agree I’ve posted things and they’ve been rejected but then a few days later I see them posted by someone else and they’ve been allowed . Very confusing. LOL . It was really starting to bug me because it seemed all my posts were being rejected. I wasn’t bothered too much about the points but the fact that my good offers were being missed out on by ppl who would have liked them and benefited from them . (Obviously earning the points would be a bonus ).

I remember posting about free pot noodle I think it was and it was posted for a while and I received many positive comments. All of a sudden it was taken down saying it was previously posted and had expired. It had previously been posted when the promotion was ran before but my post was the new offer and was valid . LOL

Nickyhaslam77 I think the best that I've seen, is when I've reported a post, and it's taken off, but then it is re-posted by the team a couple of days later x

Nickyhaslam77 It is a mystery why some posts are taken down and even when I've sent an email giving my reasons why it is valid I only get a, late, generic response. Recently a brochure was taken off for being always free even though it was a posted brochure (I do understand that downloaded brochures aren't allowed).

I have found that perhaps newer staff members aren't as up to date with what is allowed/not allowed as the LD staff who have been here a long time which doesn't help with continuity but we know nobody starts a job and knows it all straight away!

I think we all have our frustrations about posts and I do sympathise, sometimes having a grumble like this is good for the soul. As JoTarpley has said we are always here to talk to, just tag us for a friendly ear.

JoTarpley That's always a good one! I have even seen that when they have posted it afterwards and it has been allowed to stay on the site....

tumblespots Unfortunately I still feel it's one rule for them and one for us! x

JoTarpley That's because it actually is - whatever suits them, we have no comeback as they can change just the rules to make themselves right

tumblespots I think it's very unfair, both sides have goals here, our goal is to earn points towards vouchers and have a bit of fun from being members of a nice site, but unfortunately the site itself wants to be the best deals site going and earn as much money for themselves as they can, which is why they are in business in the first place I suppose, but it's the members who are making the contributions towards this happening, yet they seem to want to take the fun out of things for us, stress us out and give us such complicated terms and conditions that as soon as you can basically understand them then they are changed again to suit themselves! x

JoTarpley It is shortsighted not to consider just how much is contributed by us, the members, there wouldn't be that much on the site without us.... There have been many times when I have said to Mr T that I will stop doing it but the more frustrated I become the more that could become a reality.

tumblespots OMG frustrated is the word, I've even had a free Graze box code taken off as a referral now, I don't even buy it, I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall lately x

JoTarpley That's ridiculous?! There is nothing wrong with the free graze sample! Sadly, I frequently get to the head banging stage these days especially, as you say, when valid and previously 'allowed' posts are removed! There is no logic to it?!

tumblespots It's ridiculous, I know full well referrals aren't allowed, so why would I suddenly post one after 5 years I was going to tag emmabeckz again this morning but I can't see she's posted today, why do we have to keep tagging the same person, she must be daunted by it all, and if she's not about, the site doesn't function properly, it's madness! x

JoTarpley She has said to me before, that I could tag her, and she has been very helpful in the past when other LD staff seem to have ignored what I have said. She must love her time off but dread what she comes back to

JoTarpley I feel the same way and the worst thing is that we are losing out because when posts are taken down then we don’t get to take advantage of the offers . I know they have to be careful but sometimes it’s ridiculous. So annoying!
