If you struggle to stand while using public transport, there is a free badge and card available to help you alert fellow customers that you need a seat. Learn more and apply for your welcome pack.

Many of our customers, particularly disabled people and those with invisible impairments, conditions or illnesses, find it difficult to get a seat. Our free 'Please offer me a seat' badge and card makes it easier to let other passengers know that you need a seat.

The badge and card can be used on all our services: London Underground, London Overground, Elizabeth line, Buses, DLR, Trams and River Services.

You don't need to explain your reasons for the badge and card with either our staff or fellow customers. Please remember the badge and card doesn't guarantee you a seat.

Would have liked to have had this freebie as I have RA & visit London quite regularly, using the tube a lot while I'm there but won't accept my address as I live in Wales!!!!

sirglen1 Sadly the Ts&Cs do state 'Please offer me a seat' badges and cards can be sent to any address in the Greater London area, and to South East England. You can order them by filling out the form below or calling TfL Customer Services'

I agree it is unfortunate as I am sure many people would benefit from this.

Perhaps you could approach your local transport company as they may have a similar scheme and you could still wear their badge when travelling to London.

tumblespots sadly my local authority don't do a scheme like this, no worries I did manage to find seats last time, even if waited for the next tube as I am there mainly on pleasure so not in as much rush as others commuting to work etc. I also found most people friendly & helpful with my luggage to, especially when there were only stairs not escalators. I do understand with the restrictions on the address just pointing out it is a pity that it is not national with so many people visiting London & it's not free travel just a badge/card to identify that the person with it needs to sit. I will see if I could have 1 made?
