We Created leavers hoodies.
Back in 1997 School Leavers Company was started offering predominantly Leavers Rugby and T-shirts for a few schools. We then expanded into offering Hoodies and in 1998 created the famous 'Rear 01' design with all the names in a number. The original and still the best.
OMG!! That's a brilliant idea AtiraLumena, thank you so much for suggesting it, that would be really helpful!! x
JoTarpley it's being delivered today, it says SLC sample in the additional information of the delivery notification, I don't think I ordered a hoodie, I think it was a woman's rugby top I opted for! It seems at the moment to be a singular item, so now at least we will see as to whether it's a segment or a complete item x
OOoooohh! It sounds interesting doesn't it AtiraLumena, I do hope you are not going to be disappointed with what you get but hey ho it was free x
JoTarpley I'm just pleased it's turning up, I know many of these freebies disappear off into the freebie fortress, never to be accessed or freed again . Whatever the size, be it a little patch or something more useful, I shall post it up when here, I'm so intrigued now x
AtiraLumena you are getting excited !! It is annoying when freebies don't turn up but I expect brands just don't anticipate the demand and get a bit of a shock !! x
OMG OMG OMG! I'm sooooo pleased for you AtiraLumena !! WOW! Well flippin' done!! YEAH!! xx xx
Well done to you JoTarpley for finding this fab freebie! Hey did you order one yourself? May wear this in one of the vids xx
AtiraLumena No I didn't, can you believe it, I'll try and do that later, I probably won't be lucky though, I just need a 48 hour day, I can't cope lol and one of my dogs is having an operation on Thursday and I'm trying to do my online shop for tomorrow and I can't find a 48 hour day anywhere, nobody is selling one!! x
JoTarpley Ive never managed to find a decent supplier of those 48hr things either . I have just found a letter, they want the sample back within 2 months, how crazy is that?! And even crazier is that they've put my name as the school name
AtiraLumena Oh nooooooooo!! 'flippin' 'eck!! This is the weirdest one ever!! It's ridiculous, it's classed as a free sample, how can you return a free sample after 2 months, why let you have it for 2 months in fact why say it's a free sample in the first place?? How can you keep it for 2 months have it passed round and let people try it on at their leisure and then return it in good condition, it beggars belief really all this, I am sorry!! I'll have to put something on this listing so nobody else shares it but I don't think that will work, should I message the team to get blocked? What are you going to do now, have you got to pay return postage or was there a label, was the letter obvious to find? x
JoTarpley I've looked a fair few times and definitely nothing on there to say about returning or paying. There is a free post label and was going to just find some packaging and send straight back but not sure whether they will charge me as they haven't exactly been straight with this concept in the first place, I haven't tried it on and the letter I didn't find straight away, more by accident later on!
Companies that want samples returned or paying for usually state on the form before orders are processed, I believe its a legal requirement. Its obviously a sale without the recipient knowing because of their indication of wanting many more orders through setting up a shop on their site and by stating they will charge for the sample if returned after being used.
I will most likely return it with a suggestion that they indicate their intentions more clearly as it is not a good advertising strategy and although this may have increased sales it inevitably increases a misuse of company conduct over at least three areas of even the most standard of policies.
This is still ok as a freebie posting, I'd just alter it to state its a whole garment and is free for up up to two months. By rights it can be kept by anyone if its not stated beforehand, I think they feel they've covered themselves with the letter but if the terms were free at the point of order then I'd say it is as ordered! xx
AtiraLumena I'm really sorry you've got all this hassle from a freebie, if I'd seen anything anywhere about returning it then I'd never have posted it in the first place, OMG you think you've seen and come across it all but you never have have you?! xx
JoTarpley that's ok, you definitely weren't to know as there is zero indication on their form and site, just a shame they feel the need to advertise in such a misleading way. It's only really the top brand name sports companies that offer product testing in which the items are to be returned and that's for the purpose of a review, and then they make it clear several times in advance. I didn't even opt for their hoodie , yes I agree, never does anyone cease to surprise me, especially some of these companies and yes must admit, first time I've been asked to give it back well that's one review I need not write now xx
(The letter looks crumpled because I didn't know it was there an nearly threw it away)
AtiraLumena Please think of me when you write this review and add anything you feel needed, I'll always back you should you need it!! xx
