This is a really important skill to have. Hopefully you’ll never have to use it but if you’re ever in an unfortunate situation that life saving skills are needed then you’ll be so grateful that you know what to do .

I trained at 16 when I was doing an apprenticeship in a residential home for people with disabilities. I have since attended a few free classes as it’s recommended you do refresher courses every so often. Luckily I’ve never had to use these valuable skills but I’m glad I had a chance to learn them .

Thanks for sharing

Absolutely everyone should take the time to learn this even if you never gettp use it, its still a skill that should be taught in schools children are very resilient, we hear all time how child saved a parent by dialling 999 well in my opinion every secondary school child should be taught this live saving techniques.

momhobnob666 I think it should be taught in schools too . Even in primary school a basic knowledge of first aid could be taught. Like you mentioned how many children have saved their parents or siblings lives because they knew what to do . Then in secondary school a more advanced course of first aid including CPR training should be provided and refreshed every year .
