Silk fabric is the strongest natural fibre making it is uniquely lightweight and cool in the summer and due to it having low conductivity, is warm in the winter. The thread is mainly sourced from the fibre of the Mulberry Silk Worm and was discovered in China in 3500 BC. Traditionally silk fabric was reserved for the use of kings. Today with modern manufacturing techniques this fabric is available to all of us.
