Aldi's New 'Chocolate Pringles' Become a Sensation
- Aldi has introduced a new treat called Choceur Waves, reminiscent of chocolate Pringles.
- The chocolates, available in flavors like milk chocolate, salted caramel, and orange, have become a hit with shoppers.
- The most popular flavor is salted caramel, with fans describing it as "divine."
- Choceur Waves are compared to Cadbury Snaps, a similar product discontinued in 2010.
Aldi's latest sweet offering, Choceur Waves, is creating quite a stir among chocolate lovers. These treats, which bear a striking resemblance to the iconic Pringles chips, are crafted from Belgian chocolate and infused with a delightful cereal crunch. Positioned near the Kinder bars and eggs, these chocolate waves are a nostalgic nod to a beloved noughties treat.
Josie O'Brien from The Sun reported on this delicious development. Choceur Waves come in mouth-watering flavors of milk chocolate, salted caramel, and orange, each filled with crispy rice puffs. Priced at £1.75 for a 125g tub, they're not just tasty but also a bargain. And there's a whispered secret among shoppers: some Aldi stores are hiding a mint flavor, which is reportedly dairy-free, catering to vegans and those with allergies.
The runaway favorite flavor, however, is salted caramel. Customers are swooning over its "divine" taste, and the buzz around it is palpable. These snacks have even drawn comparisons to Cadbury Snaps, another Pringle-shaped chocolate treat once beloved by Brits. Cadbury Snaps, launched in 2004, were available in various flavors like orange, milk chocolate, hazelnut, caramel crunch, and mint, but were sadly discontinued in 2010. Choceur Waves seem to fill that void, bringing back sweet memories.
Interestingly, Costco offers a similar product – Belgian Chocolate Thins, which also come in nearly identical packaging. Four boxes of their salted caramel flavor are available for just £8.49, presenting another tempting option for chocolate enthusiasts.
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "Aldi's Choceur Waves are a brilliant example of how supermarkets can spark consumer excitement with innovative products. Their resemblance to the beloved but discontinued Cadbury Snaps, combined with their delicious flavors and affordable price, makes them a surefire hit. It's a smart move by Aldi that taps into a blend of nostalgia and novelty."
Well, these aren’t new as Aldi have been selling them for years, but, I love them! I buy them regularly I just wish you got more in a pack like actual Pringles …. My fave is the choc and mint. Great for a snack while binge watching the latest series!
I think I've tried something like these, but a good while ago, so I don't think they're that 'new' at all
Only place i can think of them being new is in the US since theyve been out in the uk for years
