Summer Raemason at Money - Latest Business, Retail & Proper reported that Aldi's introduction of Nutoka Hot Cross Buns has sent shoppers into a frenzy. The supermarket has infused the classic Easter offering with a chocolaty twist, drawing inspiration from the beloved hazelnut spread, Nutella. Milk chocolate chips are generously sprinkled throughout these baked goods, making them an irresistible companion to a warm cup of tea. Priced at just £1.25 for a pack of four, these buns offer a delightful treat without breaking the bank.

Aldi doesn't stop there; its Specially Selected range boasts a variety of innovative flavors, including banoffee and white chocolate with raspberry, catering to diverse palates. For those enchanted by the unique taste of Biscoff, Aldi has also introduced a caramelised biscuit-flavored option, further expanding its hot cross bun repertoire.

The excitement surrounding these new offerings has spilled over to social media, with TikTok users and Facebook groups sharing their enthusiasm. Phrases like "I absolutely love them" and "They taste amazing" dominate the conversation, highlighting the widespread approval of the Nutoka Hot Cross Buns. Disappointment was palpable among those who found the shelves emptied of these sought-after treats, underscoring the high demand.

The craze for uniquely flavored hot cross buns isn't limited to Aldi. M&S has also captured the public's imagination with its Extremely Caramely hot cross buns, among other flavors, attracting those with a sweet tooth and those who favor savory options alike.

In the midst of this hot cross bun mania, Aldi has also garnered attention for its Moser Roth truffle-filled milk chocolate eggs, drawing comparisons to luxury brand Lindt. Priced attractively at £1.99, these chocolates have been praised for their quality and value, further cementing Aldi's reputation for offering premium treats at affordable prices.

It's a smart move that not only caters to traditional tastes but also introduces a delightful twist to the Easter staple, making it exciting for everyone. The buzz around these new flavors is a testament to Aldi's success in keeping the Easter spirit alive and delicious."

The news story keeps stating Nutella but the actual flavouring is Nutoka a knock off of Nutella I assume which surely can only be similar not identical in flavour. It's a bit like saying something is Coke Cola flavoured but its actually just some inferior knock off cola being used to flavour it.
