Lidl Launches Free Bakery Item Deal With 1p Purchase
- Lidl introduces a new offer: free pastries for shoppers who spend as little as 1p.
- Customers must use the Lidl Plus loyalty app to avail the offer.
- The offer includes items like pretzels, cookies, and pizza slices.
- A TikTok user demonstrated the trick by purchasing a banana for 14p and then claiming a free pain au chocolat.
- The offer is available from 1st to 29th February and includes a 'Super Spin' feature on the app.
Let me tell ya, folks, there's a buzz going around about Lidl's latest offer. Picture this: you walk into Lidl, spend a mere penny, and voilà, you get a free pastry! It's like a mini treasure hunt, and bargain hunters are all over it, scouring Lidl stores to snag these scrumptious freebies.
Now, here's the scoop. Lidl's got this nifty loyalty app, the Lidl Plus card, and it's your golden ticket to this deal. Imagine you're doing your regular shopping, or maybe you're feeling cheeky and just grab something small, like a banana for 14p. When you're at the till, just flash your Lidl Plus app, and bam, you're in for a treat. Could be a pretzel, a cookie, or even a slice of pizza - it's like a little surprise with every spin.
TikTok user, @Costoflivingcrisistips, who tried out this hack, said, "do your Lidl shop as normal or if you’re a cheapskate like me just get a banana for 14p. You basically take what you’re purchasing to the till and pay for it and scan your app. I won a pain au chocolat. Then I went and got that and took it to the till, scanned it, and it was free. So basically, I got a pain au chocolat and a banana for 14p. Happy days.”
But wait, there's a catch. This offer's like a fleeting summer romance – you've only got seven days to use it once it pops up on your app. And it's a bit of a lucky dip, depending on what your local Lidl has in stock.
Sarah Grealish at The Sun reported on this appetizing offer. Remember, you can't snag these deals online, so you'll have to pop into your nearest Lidl. And hey, if it's your birthday, there's a free cookie waiting with your name on it!
Tom Church, Co-Founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, commented, "Lidl's recent promotion is a clever way to encourage app usage while offering tangible benefits to customers. It highlights how supermarkets are innovating to enhance shopping experiences and customer loyalty. This 'spend a penny, get a pastry' approach is not just a win for consumers but also a smart marketing move by Lidl."
Wow decent offer although last time I had a free pastry thing it had to be doughnut and their doughnuts aren't that nice. Much prefer the other bakery stuff. The free bread has been good that got as a free item previously although I realise its just parbaked crap like convenience stores with excessive levels of yeast it certainly tasted all right. It had gone hard by the next day though but good for toast.
BonzoBanana slice it, sprinkle with a little water and air fryer it for a couple of minutes, it brings the freshness back
