Tesco DELAYS Changes to Clubcard Reward Scheme
- Last minute changes reduced voucher value by a quarter
- Customers complain on social media
- Supermarket responded by delaying the changes
- Changes now start on the 10th June
Tesco has responded to complaints from customers about its’ Clubcard Reward Scheme changes, by delaying them until June.
It said, “Previously your vouchers were worth two times their value with some of our Reward Partners- and others were worth four times.
“We’ve decided to make things easier.
“From today, you’ll get three times the value of your vouchers across the majority of our Reward Partners.”
But after customers complained about the reduction in value for the vouchers, Tesco has now backtracked.
Tesco is now giving customers until the 10th June to redeem vouchers for four times their value, and from the 10th onwards, they will go down to three times.
Tesco has also said that anyone who got a voucher for three times the value will be refunded.
The supermarket said that it will provide more information on this to customers in the next few days.
I believe you’ve calculated the decreasing value incorrectly, It’s actually costing you a third more, not a quarter. If you previously could exchange £2.50 of clubcard vouchers for £10 of ‘deals’ Vouchers, then you’d technically have to spend £3.33 of clubcard vouchers in the ‘new world’ in order to get that same £10 ’deals’ voucher. That means it’s actually a 33% increase in price.
Hi Matthew, I stated that Tesco has reduced the value of the club card points by a quarter. Hence, if you want to buy something, you will need 1/3 more points than previously.
