Travel Expert Tom Church, Co-Founder of money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk, said: ‘It’s easy to spend hundreds on flights, but if you experiment with different dates, destinations and months you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how cheap your holiday could end up being. I’ve found some tricks to get half price flights to Europe, save £660 on a family holiday to Turkey and more. Here’s what I discovered.’

Fly To Madrid For Half Price In September - Save Over £70

Choosing your travel month wisely will pay off if you want to head to Madrid in the coming months. Those planning to get there in the next few weeks can go in July for £89 per flight, but why do that if you can save a whopping £54 and go in September instead? In other words, a family of four would save over £200 by travelling in September instead of July. That kind of deal is hard to argue with!

Ryanair is offering a £34 flight to Madrid which departs at 8:40am and takes 2 hours, 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can pay £40 per ticket if you want to depart at 12:45pm. Madrid is well worth a visit, as the vibrant city is known for its fiestas, long nights of partying, rooftop pools and thrilling festivals. There’s always something to see and do, so a week away is bound to bring you plenty of memories.

Comparing flight prices for this popular location in July, August and September, I discovered that you can save just under £30 by travelling in September instead of August. If you were planning on a beach holiday and think that September means it’ll be cooler, think again. Average temperatures drop from 29C in August to 26C in September, so you can still get that tan.

Explore the marvellous cuisine, combine delicious tapas and explore fantastic art in the Picasso museum. You’ll get plenty of photo opportunities and time to relax in the plentiful green spaces.
