Save on Thorntons Chocolates with Our Top Discount and Delivery Tips
If you're thinking about treating yourself or someone else to Thorntons chocolates, start by signing up for their email newsletter – it's an easy win for a discount on your first order, especially if you're shopping anyway. We at Latest Deals always recommend pairing that with one of our Thorntons codes to stretch your savings even further.
Planning ahead is another clever move. Thorntons lets you schedule named-day delivery up to three months in advance, helping you dodge those rushed express fees. Place your order before 11am, and it'll usually go out the same day, so your chocolates arrive fresh and ready. We've heard from our community that stacking a code with some forward thinking is the real secret to getting the most bang for your buck – it's one of those tips that just works.

Money saving tips at Thorntons
Plan delivery early
If you're not in a rush, skip express delivery. Thorntons' named-day option lets you book up to three months ahead, Tuesday to Saturday. It's cheaper and you avoid last-minute fees. Order before 11am if you want same-day dispatch; otherwise it'll go next working day.
Stack with a code
We always check LatestDeals for a Thorntons discount code before checking out. Even a small percentage off adds up on bigger orders. Our community says it's the easiest way to save a few quid. Just copy the code, paste at checkout, and you're sorted.
Go big for bulk
If you're buying chocolates for an office or wedding, Thorntons does bulk orders over £30,000. Spending that much? Contact them directly for a bespoke quote. It's not for everyone, but for a big event, it could save you a packet compared to buying individual boxes.
Check seasonal exclusives
Thorntons does seasonal exclusives for Easter, Christmas, Valentine's. These often come with limited-time offers or special packaging. Keep an eye on their homepage for new products. In our experience, buying seasonal early means better availability and sometimes lower prices than last-minute panic buys.
Frequently asked questions about Thorntons
How do I use/apply a Thorntons discount code?
- Pick a Thorntons discount code from Latest Deals.
- Click the orange "See code" button and copy the code.
- You will be taken to the Thorntons website, where you can add your chocolates or gifts to the basket.
- Go to checkout when you're ready.
- Find the promo code box and paste in your code.
- Click apply. If the code works, the discount will show straight away.
What can I do if my Thorntons code isn’t working?
First, check that the code is still valid and that it applies to the items in your basket. A lot of codes only work on selected products or over a minimum spend. Also make sure there are no extra spaces when you paste it in. If it still does not work, try another code from Latest Deals or contact Thorntons directly.
What are the delivery options for Thorntons?
Thorntons offers express delivery and named-day delivery.
- Express delivery: usually arrives within 2 working days of dispatch. It does not include Mondays or bank holidays.
- Named-day delivery: lets you choose a delivery date up to 3 months in advance. It runs Tuesday to Saturday, except on bank holidays.
If you want a gift to arrive on time, named-day delivery is the safer bet.
How long does dispatch take for Thorntons orders?
If you place your order before 11:00am, it is usually dispatched the same day. Orders placed after that are normally sent the next working day. Weekends and bank holidays do not count.
What is Thorntons’s returns policy?
Thorntons may offer an exchange, refund, or credit note if the item is returned in its original, saleable condition. Keep the packaging and check the order as soon as it arrives, just in case anything is wrong.
Can Thorntons handle large business orders?
Yes. Thorntons handles larger business orders over £30,000, so it is best to contact them directly for a quote or to discuss what you need. That is usually the easiest way to arrange corporate gifting or bulk orders.

About Thorntons
Thorntons is a well-known UK chocolate brand that’s been around for a while, selling everything from classic boxed chocolates to personalised gifts and seasonal treats. They cover all the big moments – Easter, Christmas, Valentine’s – and also handle corporate and bulk gifting orders. So whether you’re buying for yourself or sending something special to someone else, they’ve got a wide range of options to choose from.
We think what sets Thorntons apart is the combination of tradition and choice. Their chocolates are a familiar favourite, but they also let you personalise products, which makes gifting feel a bit more thoughtful. And with their named-day delivery service, you can plan ahead for birthdays or anniversaries without the last-minute rush. That kind of flexibility is something our community really appreciates.
Of course, we always recommend checking for a Thorntons discount code before you buy. You’ll find the latest voucher codes and offers right here on LatestDeals, so you can treat yourself (or someone else) for less.
I'm Tamires, a Coupons Publisher at LatestDeals, and I've been helping folks save money on treats for over five years now – it's all about finding those real deals that make a difference. One thing I know about Thorntons is their named-day delivery option is a real lifesaver; you can book it up to three months ahead for Tuesdays through Saturdays, which helps dodge pricey express fees if you're not in a hurry. Anyway, when I'm not tracking codes, you'll find me unwinding with a hot cup of coffee and maybe a cheeky pastry – it's my little way to treat myself without breaking the bank.
