i have shared deals to facebook and twitter but not received points for doing this. am i doing something wrong?

You don't get points for sharing deals to fb or twitter, you only get them for sharing to the website.
How do you share “to the website“ it only gives limited options. Do you mean share website via emai?

If you hit the yellow "Share" button or, on mobile, click the menu then the "Share" button and follow the steps you should be able to share on the website. Any questions/trouble please just shout!
You only get points if you share to this website. It would probably explain how things work better if you have a good read of the guidelines. You would need to be able to copy the url on the deal, voucher, comp etc to be able to share. Have a read first and do a dummy run.
