AlysonC You are welcome. Crikey, I haven't ever heard of that before, it must be awful for her. Good luck
tumblespots she has several allergies. Eggs, pollen and the most 'omg' moment happened one day when she'd pulled a muscle. I sprayed some Deep Heat type thing on her and within seconds she was covered in bright red blotches and her whole body began to swell.
AlysonC That sounds really frightening, you must have been beside yourself with worry and yet you must have had a cool head to get her the necessary treatment. I feel sure some of these allergies are related to our modern way of living?
One day less now (of the 100 cough days)
tumblespots Fortunately I was used to dealing with medical/accident emergencies because of my job (could write a book about them!) so it was just a matter of getting her into the shower and anti-histamine. It is strange that people are now more allergic to things, or is it that we now diagnose? My sister and two friends have coeliac's disease, an autoimmune disease that was rarely heard of years ago, I often wonder if people just died of its effects as it used to be so hard to diagnose? Looking back, I think that our Mum also had it as well.
AlysonC Hindsight is a wonderful thing but, yes, is it more common or just diagnosed better?
