Whether it’s going out with friends, a romantic getaway or a special family occasion, it doesn’t get much more exclusive than enjoying a day on a private speedboat – and Smart Charter Ibiza offers the perfect way to celebrate at sea.

With 50 privately owned vessels available to charter and a dynamic, multilingual team looking after every detail, there’s no better way to escape Ibiza’s crowds and discover its dreamily beautiful coastline.

Itineraries can be tailor-made, whether cruising between unspoilt bays, visiting the mysterious rock island of Es Vedrá or swimming off the glorious beach at Ses Illetes, on tranquil Formentera.

Smart Charter Ibiza can arrange everything from mixologists and massage therapists to private catering and DJs, with jet skis and eFoil boards available to use. Larger boats (70-102ft) are ideal for overnight or longer trips, with luxurious cabins, professional kitchens and state-of-the-art sound systems, and the chance to explore further afield, to the neighbouring islands of Mallorca and Menorca.

This month, Smart Charter Ibiza is giving one lucky winner a chance win a trip for two to Ibiza worth over £5,000! T&Cs apply.

Visit smartcharteribiza.com/ for further information or get in touch at bookings@smartcharteribiza.com

tumblespots It's well worth a visit if you can. It's memorable to me because I was expecting our son at the time and it is the place where we shared a bar with Freddie Mercury - just my family and him and his group of friends - one night.

AlysonC If there was ever a time when you could use the phrase 'I wish I'd been there' that has to be the one! Why didn't you take me with you????? I am very envious 🟢 No wonder you want to return and relive those lovely memories. Image

tumblespots The lovely Freddie is greatly missed. It was interesting covertly watching the group. He was very quiet and understated, but every person there deferred to him as they spoke, "Isn't it Fred?" "Don't they Freddie?" "What do you think Freddie?" etc etc etc. It came out in the press afterwards that he'd flown all of his friends to Ibiza for his 40th birthday.

AlysonC I can certainly imagine that but I am sure that more people would expect him to be 'The Great Showman' even when not on stage - not the case. I would have loved to chat to him as I am sure that he was a lovely man and would have been very interesting to talk with.

tumblespots We left him well alone, wanting to respect his holiday, but I would have loved to have have a chat with him as well, although we felt that we learnt quite a lot about his personality 'off duty' that night. In his very early days (I think about the time of Killer Queen) I can remember writing to Jim'll Fix It to meet him. Kind of glad I wasn't chosen as I was a young teen!
