What Can You Get at ASDA On a £5 Budget? (Watch Video)

First up they had this pack of 4 Beef & Onion Pies in their Just Essentials range.

They’re only £1.10, and I spotted this can of mushy peas I thought would be nice with them.

Only 25p a can - which do you prefer: mushy or garden peas?

Garlic Bread, 40p

Next up, I spotted this canny cheap garlic bread and had to try it.

It’s only 40p, and you can freeze it as well.

I haven’t tried it before, but fingers crossed it’s nice and garlicy!

Cheese & Broccoli Pasta, 40p

I thought this Cheese & Broccoli Pasta might go nicely with the garlic bread.

Again, it’s only 40p and it serves 2 people.

You can’t beat cheap and cheerful meals like this!

Bread, 39p & Cheese Slices, 55p

Since the weather’s turned colder, I’ve been craving cheese on toast.

I found this Just Essentials Loaf of White Bread for 39p, and then they had this pack of 10 Cheese Slices for 55p.

That took my budget down to just £1.91. Keep watching to see what else I bought!

Vegetable Soup, 24p

Speaking of winter warmer meals.

The next thing I found was this can of Vegetable Soup.

This was the cheapest thing I added to my basket at just 24p.

Perfect for dunking my cheese toastie in!

Chicken Curry & Rice, 90p

I saw people raving about the ASDA Just Essentials ready meals in the Latest Deals Facebook group.

They’re only 90p and there’s loads to choose from.

Sweet and Sour Chicken with Rice, Beef Lasagne, Spaghetti Bolognese, and loads more.

I went for the Chicken Curry and Rice.

Chocolate Chip Cookies, 39p

Okay, that’s a lot of savoury.

Next, I went on the hunt for something sweet and spotted these Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Only 39p, we’ll see how they compare to Marylands!

Chicken Paste, 28p

Right, there wasn’t much left in the budget, so I had to go with what was cheap!

The last thing I found was this Chicken Paste for 28p.

I thought because I’d got the bread, this would be good for sarnies.

After that, I headed to the tills.

That’s everything I managed to buy deal hunters, and the grand total was….. Drum roll please!
