The Over 60s Winter Warmer Soup Roll + Unlimited Tea & Coffee Finishes Soon!
Earlier this week Asda announced the introduction of one of its winter café deals, where all customers will be able to grab themselves a bowl of porridge and a hot drink for free. The offer began on Wednesday, February 7, and is open to shoppers of all ages.
Asda’s initiative will run until Wednesday, March 20 and will be available from 8am to 12pm, in 205 Asda Cafés. In partnership with popular porridge brand Quaker, customers will be able to enjoy a free bowl of the breakfast item along with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, to warm up from the UK’s cold wintery weather.
The new free breakfast initiative is now one of four currently available in Asda Cafés, alongside it popular Kids Eat for £1 scheme, which has served over 3.1 million meals since its launch in June 2022. This will continue to support families as we approach half term.
Also available at Asda Café is the £1 Winter Warmers initiative for people over 60, which will run until the end of February offering soup, a bread roll and a hot drink. Asda has served over 350,000 since November.
The retailer also offers local community groups a ‘community cuppa’, which provides members with a warm and free place to meet with a free hot drink. The move comes as Asda’s latest Income Tracker reveals that despite positive improvements, disposable income remains firmly down on the values witnessed prior to the cost-of-living crisis. Compared to the peak of £246 in Q1 2021, UK-wide disposable income has fallen by 9.1 per cent..
ASDA George offers free click and collect. But before you place your order, double check by entering your postcode that click and collect is available at your store. Standard delivery costs £3.50.

What a brilliant offer, warm food and drink at an exceptional price! Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your post! I will share this today with fellow Deal Hunters on our Cheap Supermarket Deals Facebook group – ldeals.uk/cooking
What a lovely idea!
To get out of the house, hop on the bus and travel for free to an ASDA via the OAP bus pass, and maybe meet up with friends, and have a hot meal and drinks at the end of it, sounds to me like a very cost effective (and tasty) free lunch. Presumably you may need to travel to a larger store, but what a jolly little outing.
