Disappointed to see a knife being advertised/promoted on here. Knife crime is at an all time high and unless there’s a curb on availability it’s not going to improve. Emailed the owners of this site about this issue but I’m still awaiting a response.

Always knives being advertised on here!! Things like cooking requires them, this is a proper chefs knife, if this offends you then you need to come off the internet 🙄

Jazzters, I think you are very wrong and your comment is incredibly naive and out of touch. It will never be about making knives less available and all about changing the attitudes of those carrying them. Knives are a necessity in every household and you cannot simply take knives out of people homes, how will they cut their food? But OK, let's say, hypothetically, we remove all knives from everyone's houses, you don't think they'll just carry scissors, a shard of glass or a broken bottle instead?

I am also offended that you took the time to actually send an email without really thinking this through. Do you really believe that kids will be coming on Latest Deals looking for a bargain knife? How about not embarrassing yourself further with your unworldly view and you get out from behind your keyboard, equip yourself with some knowledge and go out and educate these people? Then maybe we'll all start seeing a positive change.

chiggity What an opinionated individual you are. You’re the naive one if think making knives not as available available is less important than changing attitudes. It’s about both. You’re statement about knives in the home is completely correct, but on ives on the street is not a necessity. “How do they cut their food?”. Ridiculous statement. Who’s talking about removing knives from every house? It’s the availability elsewhere which needs to change.

Do you read the news? - https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/asda-knives-bans-sale-removes-supermarkets-knife-crime-stabbings-a8815126.html

“they'll just carry scissors, a shard of glass or a broken bottle instead?” It may have escaped your notice but there has been zero reports of deaths from any of these during this unsettling time. Another ridiculous statement.

You have the audacity to say you’re offended that I sent an email about this without thinking it through. Firstly, you have no idea of it’s content. Secondly, it’s none of your business and lastly, you offend me by all of your comments. I‘m not the one embarrassing myself, I can assure you. You need to open your eyes and ears to find out exactly what is going on in the UK.

For your information, not that it’s any of your business, but I don’t sit behind a keyboard (I sit in front of it because I can’t type upside down) - don’t profess to know what I do. I‘m a youth crime and education coach, so I know more about this subject than you ever will.

Perhaps it‘s you that needs to equip yourself with some knowledge, and more importantly, facts.

I pray that you, yours or anyone you know never become a victim.

Never assume who you’re dealing.

suzymc2308 All knives can kill, even a chefs knife, surprisingly.

jazzters really? Wow, I never knew that!! So do you complain every time a knife is advertised on here? People share them all the time, but I very much doubt anyone wanting a knife for reasons you suggest will order on here and potentially wait a few weeks for delivery when they can walk in to a shop and buy one......stop being a snowflake and carry on with your day 👌

suzymc2308 Another vile individual. Read my reply to chiggity, learn something, grow up and care about what’s happening out there. And yes I will carry on with my day - coaching and counselling the people obtaining these things from anywhere and everywhere. You carry on being a keyboard warrior.

jazzters vile? How does it make me vile because you have singled out and complained about my post when I see at least 5 posts a day with knives? And I get what you say about your job, you don’t need to repeat it over and over, I work in a similar field re counselling etc but I still don’t see the relevance to your complaint, knife crime is on the rise because they are readily available, in most shops, this is a professional chef knife so I stand by what I said that no kids will order and wait weeks for delivery. Also amazon, when delivering a product that is age restricted they check you are over 18 before handing the parcel over so your argument is pointless.

jazzters You're a crime a educational coach? That's brilliant and it really does emphasise my original point, you are the people that need to make the change!

Let's get a bit of understanding then and realise it won't ever get fixed from you emailing the owners of this site and asking them not to advertise a kitchen knife.

Get up, go out with these kids (I promise they won't hurt you) and see why they're carrying a knife, or any other sharp object that may be classed as a knife.

I respect your job but you need to change your attitude and understanding if you really want to make a change.

I was offended by what you said and my words were harsh. I find your response aggressive. Unfortunately, I don't think we need to fight agression with agression and for that reason you need to question your attitude in your current role.

I wish you the best and I really hope you listen to what I'm saying and start to make a change.
