Cost £2 for a box of 14 in Iceland so would cost £20 for 140 so this deal is not cheap for a big box

Well spotted, I've never seen them in 14-packs but just looking at the horrific reviews, this is not suitable to be stored or shipped at all without any extra air tight packaging. Not to mention they are half shorter than normal which is a complete joke, especially what you say about the price.

Guess they push these big boxes of inferior product for more than retail by labelling the regular bars as "not for resale". Can't believe a brand like Cadbury does that.

DareTheK these are ones that are to put in ice cream to make a 99. They are usually sold to retailers, when I worked in a newsagents they were in a tray in the box, they are not wrapped individually.

pwclayton all big shop sell them in box’s for £2 so buying a big box of 144 is not cheap for a bulk buy

Have a look at the reviews first, they are half shorter than the normal ones (someone in the reviews actually measured them) so that's roughly double the price with the bonus of having the chocolate only protected by a cardboard box that is not well sealed.

Guide on how to find a deal to post on here:

1 - Find a product that will generate conversation. Don't bother checking if the price is any cheaper than usual or anywhere else.

2 - Post it.

3 - Watch all the generic comments such as "Yum chocolate, I must buy these, thanks for sharing".

Done.

The same appkiesYou are not completely correct on the not checking the price if elsewhere cheaper, however I agree that's not a thing. This is a site with a national reach - many will appreciate knowing that carex is on offer for £1 in tesco, even though it's for 90p in Morrisons, purely because not everyone has access to all the shops. We plan shopping strategically, if we can save £5 by going to a store further away but the petrol will cost us £6, this is not feasible.

The same applies to online shopping, some have more expensive shipping, some have more accessible delivery options (lockers, store pick up), some offer better discounts - the purpose of this site is to aggregate deals - if I see a deal I might use, I still check other options.

DareTheK Let's focus your point there about not having access to all shops. Let's say I am going to Tesco for my fortnightly shop at the moment and that's the only place I shop. I am not going there until Wednesday. How is knowing Carex is in stock today at £1 of any use to me? If I need handsoap, I'll look for it and purchase when I'm there anyway. Also, it's always a quid - one of them ay least. Hell will freeze over before they are all full price.

DareTheK In reply to your second comment there, what's the point in the deals existing on here if you have to check other options? On other similar websites, I know that if a product posted has a high rating, it's very likely to be the best price available. That's useful to me.

Why do you use this site in the first place then? Aside from that, people do shopping at more than one place, for example, there was a period of time when I have been to Tesco every day. Every day after gym. Apart from Sundays. But I'm not keen on all tesco items and get them in lidl or Aldi, roughly once every two weeks I will be heading to Lidl, if I see the item that I always buy in Aldi on offer in tesco and /cheaper/, I'm just gonna grab it while in tesco and reduce the load of the aldi/lidl shop. I also cycle so the rare big shop weights a lot on my shoulders anyway. You don't need to look at deals if you only shop in one place, obviously.

As I said, the conditions around the price of the product highly differ, the very best deal for someone with amazon prime is most likely not great for someone without and so on. Have you used your 5 comments for today yet?

DareTheK I live in hope that it will be useful to me and fascinated by relatively new companies going up against people like HUKD. I'd like to see them do well and comment when I feel the content I am seeing makes the site look like a bit of a joke compared to the good stuff that is posted. Regarding the shopping, I'm talking about now. People really shouldn't be hopping from one shop to another for obvious reasons.

Oh, of course now people should not go shopping for deals, in fact it would be better if they didn't look at the deals in the first place to reduce the temptation and lower the virus spread. Dennab

You must have a lot of faith then... I don't care about sites that set up a system generating insincere content to bring them profit. That's one business model out of many and if it didn't work, we wouldn't be here. Dennab

DareTheK To be honest, not a lot on here tempts me personally. Yes that would be a point well made inline with my rant about unnecessary purchases though! I have faith now but will get bored of trying eventually or I will be driven out by the locals. I used to post loads of stuff on HUKD but became bored of that too. Any product posted on here is potential commission for the owners, of course. If it was me running things though, I'd be looking at keeping quality over quantity with the content because it'll never grow to the size of competitors with a front page full of handsoap, half price chocolate bars and overpriced 'experiences' from Groupon etc.

Same, I am not in the market for most of the things here. It's a good inspiration for potential gifts though. I've paid attention to HUKD for roughly the same time as here (about 4 years) and there are certain tendencies around popularity depending on the situation. Dennab

So very tempting as love flake but I don't think these would last too long especially since we're housebound 😔
