Such bikes have very poor quality suspension which may not last that long. Water may get in and they may seize and there won't be any spare parts available. I personally would go for a rigid fork for such a bike. It's not really a mountain bike anyway just a more robust general use bike so the suspension fork is useless anyway. The tyres are quite thick and should be sufficient for most people in ride quality.
