I have quite a minimalist house but I have one wall decorated in different clocks & this clock would would look great & go perfectly with my collection. I think I will get it as a welcome home gift for when my house is fixed as we were flooded in October and hopefully should get home next month if everything goes to plan. Thank you for sharing this great deal
fifehoney thats sounds like it will fit really well on your wall. So sorry to read that you were flooded back in October. Can only but imagine how hard life has been for you. Bet you can't wait till your back home. Will keep my fingers crossed that you will be back in your home next month.
natnat224 I'm believe everything happens for a reason & as it turned out my hubby got a call to say he is getting his new knee operation on the 18th which is great timing as our temporary house is all on one level which is great for my hubby to get used to his new knee & help his recovery as my home is a cottage but the bedrooms & big bathroom is up two flights of stairs which would probably be a challenge to begin with plus to get to the house door it's a very steep hill to walk down then stairs over the burn that runs through the bottom of my garden then a steep path to the door. So I like to think that's the reason yes it been stressful & heart breaking especially when I had to take the whole of downstairs back to brick & re insulate & plaster but iwas able to make some adaptions to make it flow better & more practical which didn't cost half as much to do as it was already back to brick & All the builder had to do was knock a hole though & put a beam in. I'm just waiting on the report to see if I can put a water pump under my house to pump any water comes in back out so we don't go through this again so we get the ok to do that as the building next toe is listed so we can't pump the water out the front incase it damage's the building thank you so much for your comment & well wishes I've had a crappy day today but when I read your comment I was rather touched & made my day better.. Thank you & I wish you all the best for 2024
fifehoney How odd i believe in that aswell, me and my family say that and also say if it's ment to be will it will be. That's brilliant news for your husband that's going to make his recovery so much easier and also better for you aswell, think it will be less stress for both of you. Of course there's no place like home when your not well ect. But I bet you've made the place your at for the moment kind of homely (hope that makes sense) I can only but imagine the heartache for you and your husband having to do take it all back bricks. That's the only plus side with what's happened is the changes your able to make. Will keep my fingers crossed that they let you put the water pump in. So sorry you've had a rubbish day but i'm glad my message helped you feel better. All the best for your husband knee operation. Sending a hug your way and keep being strong.
natnat224 yip that's definitely a phrase we use too lol. Another one my gran used to say if I wanted something & it was a week till payday she'd say "if you're ment to have it, it will still be there when you have the money to buy it" which I found absolutely frustrating when I was younger but I totally get it now
I had a meeting yesterday to see where we are at with the house. It's finally dried out so the guy is coming out tomorrow to survey it & see what solutions he has & if we are able to put a water pump in. So I feel a lot better that things are starting to move again.
Thank you ever so much for your well wishes & hugs. Wishing you all the best for 2024 xx
fifehoney Yep we use that saying aswell Thats brilliant new your house is now dried out, another weight lifted off your shoulders I bet. Now things can start moving foward, onwards and upwards as they say. Hope all went well with the survey man today . Thank you for your wishes keep being strong x
Dixie70s yeah it was horrendous although it has made me realise had far too much stuff I simply didn't need, know I had or didn't want till I found it floating in the lobby and living so on the upside I was definitely able to chuck everything instead of going "but I might need that so I will just put it in the cupboard just incase"
I definitely won't be doing that any more just incase I ever get flooded again as that just added to the mammoth clean up
I can't wait to get back home now but we are still waiting on our water pump being installed & a self raising flood barrier being installed before I even get in to replace the walls & flooring but it looks like work will finally start this week as long as there are no more storms, blackouts & rain
Have you managed to sort your house yet? X
lisawhitehouse like how different it is from other large clock, for me this style is so much better than all the other types of large clocks.
