Bundle with the HTC VIVE Cosmos Headset, HTC Wireless VR Adapter and HTC VIVE COSMOS Wireless adaptor Clip.
The Vive Cosmos from HTC is directed in particular towards gamers that want to discover the true immersion that only Virtual Reality can offer. This updated Virtual Reality Headset brings with it increased resolution and revised lenses to offer a clearer view of the virtual world. The Motion Tracking occurs by means of six external cameras, enabling not only precision tracking of your location in space, but also control over the controllers HTC has included. Base stations are no longer necessary either. Two LC-Displays with a resolution of 1440 x 1700 pixels and a high refresh rate of 90 Hz deliver a smooth image to the user, while the integrated headphones supply a superb and realistic soundscape.

The high resolution LC-Displays helps to make the Vive Cosmos exceptionally sharp and bright, enabling unparalleled immersion into your VR experience of choice. For a smooth picture, and for the prevention of motion sickness, the displays utilise an extremely high refresh rate of 90 Hz with a motion-to-photon latency of below 20ms.
INSIDE-OUT TRACKING FOR MAXIMUM FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
Thanks to the six integrated cameras, the headset is capable of tracking the data received from the user's surroundings and then coordinating then with the bundled controllers - before relaying this to the HMD's screen. The only connection between the headset and the PC occurs via the 5m long All-In-One cable and uses a DisplayPort 1.2 and USB 3.0 Type-C connection.
This method of tracking movement, "Inside-Out-Tracking", allows users to move around a virtual world in a manner not so distant from that of Star Trek's famous holodecks. When players reach the end of their allocated play area, a grid-style barrier appears in VR to inform you. This technology is known as the Chaperone System, and it can be adjusted to meet your individual requirements using software settings.
Although the Chaperone System is activated automatically when the player reaches the edge of their playing area, it can also be manually adjusted using the VR Controller. This will then show barriers akin to those in the "Matrix" or in "Tron".
