Just got this cracking deal myself through mobiles.co.uk. The new iPhone SE 2020 with Apple AirPods 2nd Gen on Vodafone with £150 upfront and £26 per month (AirPods worth £169 so covers the upfront cost). This comes with Unlimited calls and texts as well as 22GB of data to burn through on your new phone. I know this won‘t be suitable for everyone with the higher upfront cost, but thought I’d share as its the best deal I have found so far.

Bargain, just not keen on cash back systems as a bit of a faff and £39 A month going out of account before claiming cash back is a lot, just because its not for me doesn’t mean its not for everyone though! 🙂

Ann1984 Damn, shame I missed out on that as £23.99 a month is quite a saving. I agree with you in the upfront is a lot, but my plan is to sell the Airpods to make the upfront much cheaper (and selling my old phone as well of course) so it makes it better for me, but understand it’s not for everyone. Thanks for sharing.

The total cost is £774 (or £734 if you click through from Topcashback and get £40). The airpods are are available for £119 from mainstream retailers.

On Mobile Phones Direct, you can get this phone on O2 with 30GB of data for £22.50 a month with no upfront cost. That is a cashback deal but I am with them and can tell you how long it takes to submit a cashback claim - around 30 seconds every three months, via a very simple online form. The money goes straight into my bank account. It's not a faff at all because it's automated. I put it in my diary and have two months leeway to remember! £22.50 x 24 minus the £45 auto cashback you get for going through Topcashback is £495.

If we include the fact I'd have to buy the earpods (but it's nice to have the option because personally, I think they look silly):

Your deal: £734

Mine: £614

That's at least 120 quid saved and more data for the sake of uploading one bill every three months. If you don't want the airpods, my deal is even more lucrative because you won't get full retail price when selling the airpods.

Do you work for the NHS? I just noticed your profile photo. Are you not entitled to some big discounts somewhere in the world of phones?

Thank you for taking the time to explain the offer processes for me as the cash back offers seemed like too much hard work, but seems simple in practice. I fully understand what you mean about over all costs as well. I for one was going to be buying Airpods anyway, so this just works for me, but it was stated in the original post that this deal isn’t for everyone and people are able to freely search to find a deal that works for them.

I am indeed in the ambulance service and must say I get an extra £5 a month discount through mobiles .co.uk , but cannot add that to the deal on here as it is exclusive to Blue light card holders, so paying £21 a month instead making my total £654 over the two years, so not far off your deal, but doesn‘t count in your comparison as it’s not widely available, so yours is still a better deal.

Your deal is far better as is plain to see and good that your are sharing as that’s what this site is all about!

Sorry if it doesn’t seem like a good deal to you, but might appeal to others who have a phone to sell to cover the upfront cost etc like myself.

thanks again and stay safe! 🙂

s2000king No need to apologise. Cashback has become a lot easier than it used to be, maybe because OfCom got involved. If you place your order through Topcashback, you may get that 40 quid cashback but that would involve reordering of course. Thank you for doing what you do anyway. It's not often we get the opportunity to thank people directly. We can all clap in the street but I hope the nation are being thankful through their actions too. I get the impression you like cars from your username but I may be mistaken! Best wishes.

Dennab of course, as time moves on many things become simpler, just my ignorance on this occasion And thanks for highlighting the process.

Thank you so much for your kind words, it’s a pleasure to serve the community during this difficult time and the General public have been amazing throughout.

I absolutely adore cars, particularly the Honda s2000 as you can gather, driving 5.5 tonne ambulances around isn’t the most inspirational driving experience ha!

Thanks again, stay safe.
