Kenya City to Beach Holiday with Game Drives and Safari Tours

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to Tamarind Tree Hotel for one night. Spend the evening at leisure at your city hotel.

Day 2: Transfer from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, and enjoy a late morning Game Drive upon arrival in Lake Nakuru. After lunch, head out on another game drive and stay for one night at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 3: Enjoy a final game drive in Lake Nakuru before transfering to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. After lunch at the camp, visit the Maasai Cultural Village for some traditional African dancing. Later on, enjoy a game drive in Maasai Mara and dinner at Mara Simba Lodge, where you'll stay for two nights.

Day 4: Take a picnic lunch for two half-day game drives in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Take an optional Maasai Mara Balloon Ride; leaving early morning to catch the sunrise on your ride. After an hour, you’ll land and have a full cooked breakfast and a glass of bubbly nearby. Enjoy the evening at leisure at Mara Simba Lodge.

Day 5: Take an early morning game drive, before transferring to Nairobi. From here, you’ll take a train to Mombasa and transfer to the Voyager Beach Resort, where you'll stay for five nights.

Day 6-9: Enjoy your all-inclusive stay at Voyager Beach Resort, with the option to take a city tour of Mombasa (advance booking only).

Day 10: After breakfast, transfer to Moi International Airport for your flight back to the UK.

Tamarind Tree Hotel, Nairobi (one night)

Ideally located just five kilometres to the southwest of Nairobi, Tamarind Tree Hotel fuses African design elements with contemporary comforts for a relaxing stay. A large outdoor pool will help cool you down in the city heat, and live cooking stations at Tamambo Restaurant make for an atmospheric dining experience. Lake Nakuru Lodge, Lake Nakuru (one night)

Located on the western edge of the Great Rift Valley, these attractive lodges overlook Lake Nakuru and the surrounding lands. You'll find an inviting outdoor pool set into the gardens, bars and a dining room, with al fresco dining available. Lodges comes with large windows so you can make the most of those views. Lake Nakuru itself is well known for flamingo population, which can get into the millions over certain times of year.

Mara Simba Lodge, Maasai Mara (two nights)

Located in the Masai Mara National Reserve alongside the Talek River, the landscaped gardens that surround Mara Simba Lodge are filled with indigenous trees, which help to attract a variety of local birds and butterflies. With an emphasis on exclusivity and comfort, the resort is decorated in traditional Masai style, designed to complement the stunning natural surrounds. Guest rooms are furnished with natural wood and offer large en-suite bathrooms with both a bath and a shower, and 24-hour room service. Guests can enjoy traditional dishes under the stars and a cocktail or two by the inviting free-form outdoor pool.

Voyager Beach Resort, Mombasa (five nights)

Set along the stunning palm-covered Mombassa beach on the sparkling Indian Ocean and just a few kilometres from Mombasa city centre, this nautical-themed beach resort is perfectly placed to relax to the max. Bright, tiled-floor guest rooms are decorated with beach-inspired colours, and offer Wi-Fi, flatscreen TVs, balconies and minibars, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities and en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers. Dine between three different restaurants including a refined seafood eatery, and enjoy ice-cold cocktails across four different bars.
