Looks fantastic value for the spec. My local bike shop would charge this for a basic Claris road bike with disc brakes. Looks a really solid option and sub 20kg weight for an ebike plus it doesn't look highly proprietary so easy to customise and replace components. If when the electronic components have failed and its not worth repair you can just strip the bike of its electronic parts and keep using it. Hub motors are more reliable than mid-drive motors and work independently of the drivetrain so the drivetrain life is massively extended beyond even a normal bike. You don't get the broken quick links either normally. Looks a good solid ebike for general use. Aluminium forks are not know for great comfort though but looks like plenty of clearance for wider tyres if necessary at least at the front.

Probably not one for brand snobs though it appears to be just Merlin's own shop brand stuck onto a ebike from Asia.
