This is a very compact coffee maker which is really handy if you’ve got limited worktop space. On opening the box I got the feeling that it had been opened before as the instructions and leaflets were not packed very neatly and looked as if someone had stuffed them back in the box. On first use, the machine was really noisy and vibrated across the worktop, which surely wasn’t how it was meant to operate. However the coffee was good, but I have returned the machine as it was so loud and nearly shook the cup off the stand on the machine. Hopefully I’ve got a rare one with a fault and you’ll get the proper job!'

The machine made decent coffee but after 10 months into the 24 month guarantee it leaks badly all over our worktop. It appears to be the O-ring seal on the base that is the culprit as the tank is not as tight fitting as from new. When I phoned Nescafe for assistance they told me it was probably the water tank that need replacing and to test it first off the machine with the tank full. I explained that I thought that would be a waste of time as it only leaks when on the machine but she insisted. All I wanted was a new O-ring seal and I would fit it myself and if not, the machine goes in the dustbin and I will purchase another make.'
