How to Create the Perfect Sea-Monkeys Habitat - Tips for Sea-Monkeys Owners
Here are our top tips for getting the most out of your Sea-Monkeys:
- Water temperature- It is vital that you refer to the temperature chart on the instruction leaflet, the colder the water the longer it will take for your Sea-Monkeys eggs to hatch. The ideal temperature for the fastest hatching is between 24 and 27 degree Celsius.
- Egg anatomy- All Sea-Monkeys eggs vary in shell thickness, therefore those with thinner shells hatch faster and those with thicker shells take longer. This is natural biological variation.
- Healthy light- Place your tank in a north-facing window so that it gets light, but not directly in sunlight. This will help algae to grow which the Sea-Monkeys eat.
- Feeding- Feed your Sea-Monkeys only when the water is clear, too much food will cause them to suffocate.
- Evaporation- If you notice the water level decreasing in your tank refill with bottled drinking water which is at the same temperature as the tank water.
- Help! If your Sea Monkeys experience falls short of your expectations please contact our customer services team and they will be happy to help you.
