Exactly, hours of fun...

I bought our daughter an Emergency Vehicles set compatible with Playmobile for £10 from Netto when she was small.We played for hours with that set, it was made of chunky robust plastic , the doors opened & the top of the Ambulance, Police Car & Fire Engine so you could put the people in & attach their hands to steering wheel. The set had a stretcher where you could attach the hands of the Emergency Service Workers that came with it & fitted inside the Ambulance, the Fire Engine side panel opened so you could see the workings & it's ladder extended, also an Helicopter & you could take the skis off & wind the winch.The set came with a set of Traffic Lights & Barriers & Cones.

The vehicles had chunky wheels that ran over floors & carpets freely..

I LOVED THAT SET!!!

Money well spent, now passed down to her cousin's children & they play with it a lot too...

janphoenix51 my son had the fire engine/police van too, which had flashing lights and the sound too, which you could turn off so you only had the flashing lights, absolutely loved it. He also had the goldmine and a few other sets, best toys I've bought, amongst Schleich and Lego, it really helps with imagination and creativity, I've never known him to get frustrated with them unlike gadgets x
