These are so good and a really good healthy option to cooking because it drains off all the fat but doesn't leave you food tasting dry
We have one of these in our house and find it very useful and convenient. We enjoy making toasted sandwiches in it. To make it easier to clean we put a sheet of grease proof paper on the plates and cleaning it is then very easy.

Reminds me to get my panini press down from the attic 
. It says easy to clean but plates do not come off so not easy to clean .
