This is the cheapified version of the subway, you get V brakes and a freewheel based drivetrain but a strong mountain bike frame and 27.5" wheels. Personally I'd pay the extra for the Subway as its got a faster and much stronger drivetrain, disc brakes and can take more abuse and need less maintenance. However if you do go for this bike down the line you can change the rear wheel for a freehub based rear wheel and fit a 7 speed cassette to improve the strength of the bike, make it faster and smoother shifting and reduce the required maintenance. You still won't have disc brakes but it will make it closer to subway spec.
