Often referred to as potassium bitartrate, this powder is commonly used in baking and cooking.

Ideal for use in dessert recipes such as pavlova, the cream of tartar helps to stabilise whipped egg whites and cream.

Add to eggs when making lighter cake mixtures to help keep the eggs fluffy and well risen.

Often used when making candy or caramels, this helps to prevent the sugar from crystallising.

Make your own baking powder by combining 1/2tsp cream of tartar with 1/4tsp bicarbonate of soda.
