TK Maxx Treasure Card: How Does The Loyalty Program Work?

If you shop at TK Maxx, it’s worth your while getting a Treasure card. Treasure is TK Max’s reward scheme, similar to how Tesco has Clubcard. It’s free to join Treasure and you can earn rewards on your shopping.

What is a TK Maxx Treasure card?

A TK Maxx Treasure card is their loyalty card. It’s free to join their Treasure rewards scheme, and you can earn rewards on your shopping. Rewards tend to be small physical products or the option to donate money to charity.

How do I join Treasure TK Maxx?

The first thing you need to do is get a Treasure card. You can pick one up in a TK Maxx store (they usually have them by the tills) and register it online afterwards, or get a digital one. You can register your Treasure card here.

Just click to register and fill in your personal details. Make sure you check the box to join the Treasure rewards programme.

Once you’ve checked that box, you can enter the card number if you picked one up previously in store.

Once you have registered, you can go to the Treasure section in your account to see your digital Treasure card.

After signing up, you can start earning keys on your shopping. When you have enough keys, you will earn rewards.

If you have a Treasure card, you can earn rewards when you shop at TK Maxx. To get rewards, you need to earn enough keys. These are essentially points, and you’ll get your first key just for signing up to Treasure.

Everytime you shop at TK Maxx or Homesense, either in store or online, you’ll also earn a key. You can earn up to three keys a day. These are called shopping keys.

The other way to earn keys is through star keys. These are earned by referring friends to the Treasure rewards programme, filling out your profile and claiming a reward.

When you have five keys (and three of them are shopping keys), you can choose a reward. There is a great selection of rewards including freebies, charity donation or the chance to enter a competition. For example, you may be offered the chance to win a private chef experience, or a free pack of bamboo straws.

What TK Maxx Treasure rewards have Latest Deals members received?

The TK Maxx website doesn't give much away when it comes to what Treasure Card rewards you can expect, so we spoke to Latest Deals members to see what perks they'd received. Sign up to Latest Deals, it's free!

In terms of free gifts, one member said that they'd had 'some nice stuff' including a 'knitting set, beard oil, windproof umbrella and bumbag'.

Another member had received 'notebooks, face masks and candles' and said, 'gifts are free, what's not to like?'.

We also heard from members who chose to donate to charity, rather than opt for the free gift. Latest Deals member lornaae said she 'redeemed one reward as a £5 charity donation', she felt this was a 'good option', and it's nice you can opt for different rewards if none of the freebies appeal to you.

The other option you'll be given is the chance to enter a competition. Prizes include trips abroad, and experiences. Two members of the Latest Deals Facebook Group were the lucky winners of two of these competitions, one winning a trip to Venice and one a trip to Dublin. So, it's worth looking out for the best prizes and picking this option when there's something you'd love to win.

The general consensus with LD members is that TK Maxx Treasure isn't the best loyalty scheme. It can take a while to earn rewards, and often the free gifts aren't something that everyone will be interested in.

However, you are getting something back on your shopping, and there are some great rewards available, for example the trips abroad.

So, if you shop at TK Maxx, we recommend signing up for a Treasure card and seeing what you can get.

Tom Church, Co-Founder of Latest Deals has a suspicion Treasure card rewards are small clearance items TK Maxx has failed to sell:

TK Maxx Treasure rewards have a few things in common: They're small items (so cheap to post), and an assortment of stuff usually found in TK Maxx stores. My suspicion is they're probably items TK Maxx has failed to sell and marked for clearance. So they use them as freebies as their TK Maxx treasure rewards.
