Boots has a rewards scheme called Advantage. If you have a Boots Advantage card, you can earn points on your shopping, get exclusive deals and offers, and join money-saving clubs. Boots Advantage is the Boots loyalty programme. Once you join, you will get a Boots Advantage card which will allow you to earn points on your shopping, access offers and discounts, and join exclusive clubs to save more money.

How do I get a Boots Advantage card?

You can register for a Boots Advantage card account here.

You’ll need to provide your personal details to create an account, and you’ll be asked if you have picked up a Boots Advantage card in store. If you have, check the box and fill in the card number.

Once you’ve agreed the terms and conditions, you will see your digital Boots Advantage card and card number. Once you’ve downloaded the Boots app, you can start using your digital card immediately, online and in store. Just remember to sign in online, or scan your card in the app at checkout in store.

You can download the Boots app here.

If you would prefer a physical card as well, you can pick one up in store and then link it to your account. To do this, log in to your Boots Advantage account, go to the ‘account’ section, and you will see the option to link the card.

You can find your nearest Boots store here.

What do you get with a Boots Advantage Card?

If you are a Boots Advantage card member, you will get various money saving rewards. These include:

1. Boots Advantage Card Points

One of the main benefits of a Boots Advantage card is that you can earn points on your shopping. You’ll earn 4 points for every £1 you spend, either online or in store when you scan your Boots card.

How do Boots points work? Well, once you’ve earned enough points, you can use them to pay for your Boots shop, so it’s essentially cashback. In terms of value, 1 Boots point is equal to 1p. So, if you spend £10 at Boots, you’ll get 40 points which amounts to 40p.

You can spend your Boots points whenever you want, as long as you have enough to cover your entire transaction, for example, if you have £5 worth of points, you can only use them on a purchase that totals £5 or less.

How to earn more Boots Points

You’ll earn Boots points on anything you buy at Boots. There are also opportunities to earn double points, or more points. This could be on certain products, brands, or days. It’s worth keeping an eye out for events like this, as you can earn double or even triple points.

You may also get the opportunity to earn a set amount of points on top of your shopping for buying certain items, for example, earn £10 worth of points when you spend £25 on Electrical Beauty.

You can find these bonus points offers in your Boots account, either on the Boots website or Boots app. To get these offers, you’ll need to activate them on your card (this can be done online or on the app in the offers section), and then scan your Boots card the next time you’re shopping at Boots.

It’s worth noting that you can use your Boots points on anything that’s sold at Boots. So, you can use them for essential items such as toothpaste or deodorant, or save them up and use them on gift sets or designer makeup and perfume brands.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you don’t use your Boots card for two years, your boots advantage card points expire and may be wiped.

2. Boots Price Advantage

You get access to exclusive members only offers with your Boots Advantage card. You can save up to 50% off selected products and lines, and these offers change regularly.

At the moment for example, there are more than 600 Advantage offers available, with discounts on toiletries, gift sets, vitamins, make up and more.

To get these offers, you just need to scan your Boots card at checkout, and anything qualifying items will be discounted. Even if you don’t actively seek out offers, it’s always worth scanning your Advantage card in case any of the items you’re buying qualify.

3. Boots Parenting Club

As a Boots Advantage card member, you get the opportunity to join their parenting club. From the time you find out you’re pregnant to the time your child turns five, if you’re an Advantage member, you can join the Boots Parenting Club.

If you’re a parent, it’s worth joining as you’ll get free gifts and exclusive offers on baby products. You can find these rewards on the Boots app when you sign in to your account.

You’ll also earn more Boots points when you buy baby products. Instead of earning 4 Boots points for every £1 you spend, you’ll earn 8 points for every pound you spend on baby products. As well as earning double points, you can also earn more points on big baby buys, for example you can get £39 worth of points for buying selected prams.

If you are a parent to a little one under five, or are pregnant, it’s absolutely worth joining the Boots parenting club to maximise your points and get members only freebies and offers. You can join the Boots parenting club here.

4. Boots Over 60s Rewards

You’ll also receive invitations to exclusive in-store events, get 10% off if you spend £20 or more, and get free gifts.

Boots Advantage Card changes

From the beginning of May 20230, Boots is making some changes to their Advantage card scheme.

Some of these changes benefit members, and some are not as good. We've broken them down below:

  • Points - Soon, you will only get 3 points for every £1 you spend, rather than 4.
  • Birthday points - You'll still get double points for your birthday, but this will mean 6 points rather than 8.
  • Boots own-brand discount - You will be able to get 10% off any Boots own-brand items if you are an Advantage card holder. This will be valid on more than 6,000 products, though there are exclusions. Some of the exclusions include Liz Earle and No7.
  • More opportunities to earn points - Boots will expand your ability to earn points in their app, including a new 'scratch to win' feature.
  • Price Advantage expanded - Boots are also expanding their Price Advantage so you can get up to a third off over 800 products each month.
