Coffee chain Costa is now offering a lunchtime meal deal which includes a toastie, hot drink, and a snack for under £5.

Without the deal, the most expensive combination available would cost you £7.15, so you’ll be saving £2.20 in the £4.85 offer.

In the deal, you can chose between a ham and cheese toastie, or a cheese and onion one for your main.

The deal also includes a snack, so you can pick up a packet of crisps, popcorn, or fresh fruit.

A range of hot drinks are also on offer, like an Americano, a latte, or a hot chocolate.

But you’ll only be able to get the drinks in a small or medium, as large drinks aren’t included in the deal.

You’ll save £2.20 in the most expensive combination- a medium hot drink, crisps and a toastie- but you’ll also save 70p on the cheapest.

It’s not the cheapest offer out there, supermarkets like Morrisons and Tesco have similar meal deals for £3 which include a main, snack, and a drink, but the options are all cold rather than hot.

Starbucks also runs a lunchtime deal for £3.99, but it doesn’t include a coffee, only a sandwich and a side.

The deal runs between 11am-2pm, so if you have lunch late then you’ll miss out on it.

Sweet potato crisps also aren’t included, and if you want to add any extra syrups, toppings, or a non-dairy milk, then you’ll have to pay extra.

Costa does also do a money saving offer where you can get a 25p discount on your coffee if you bring in a cup from home, as a way to encourage people to use less plastic, and in anticipation for the latte levy.
