I don’t like giving my card detail first thing, so although it is a fabulous offer tho, I’m sure others will jump at the chance 👍

Golfforall when some people see some 'bargains' advertised all logical thinking goes out the window. A bit of research soon reveals if something is indeed a bargain or not.

See it a lot on this site tbh. Things being posted as deals and bargains and it's far from a bargain.

The words bargain and deal really do influence people quite a lot it would seem.

latro4949 This is where the "like for points " is nothing less than dangerous . Members click "like" because others do and for 5 points , The deal becomes popular so makes it look like a good deal , Which it clearly isn't !

Then other gullible members who wouldn't know a deal from a donut could be tempted to sign up . We've already seen many silly comments from the Mugs 😕

Golfforall I've seen likes on posts that are far from deals...it's likes for points for vouchers.

Also like you've stated it creates a sheep mentality.

I commented on a post made for a towel rail which was apparently a deal at the price of approx £92 🤣

People are posting silly things to gain the points.

It's even more concerning when it's the Admin who are posting 'deals' like this. I can only guess it's because they earn commission and are affiliated.

It's irresponsible to post things that could get people into further debt...it's also ironic that a site that is based on saving money and deals is actually posting something which isn't a deal at all and will cost more money in the long run.

🙄

latro4949 well said - shame nothing will come of it. In fact it will probably get refreshed again and again and again and again.....

latro4949 If a standard member had posted this, it would have been removed several hours ago. I have noticed often on here that it is one rule for them and another for us.

I have to be honest, whilst I love LD for the competitions and the chat section, it isn't really the most reliable when it comes to the deals. Though of course you do get the odd genuinely good one.

Is it only c branded junk food so to speak? As it doesn't let you view what you can buy before you create an account wondered if you can do a full grocery shop

Amazing! What a great price. If only there was a way to skip having to pay the minimum basket price - I don't think I'm able to add 400 of the Twirl Bars to my basket!

Thank 👍

I prefer to shop around and find my own grocery deals rather than have to spend £40 for free delivery or else be tied to a membership.

I think this is so wrong, people with not much food will use the credit deal and then get major interest and they will just get deeper in debt.

This is a new concept in shopping - initially the price drop looks astounding although you do have to spend £40 so it may be a bit of a false economy!

£29.99 a lot for administration costs I must say!! How much does it cost to type in a few things on a computer, then £7.99 a month plus £3.99 delivery so nothing like amazon prime tbh

Like

MarieJames41342

JackieSorrell I agree it's a lot for admin and like many others I am not happy to submit my details to look at what they are selling altogether but I'm quite sure that the 7.99 each month covers delivery. Its 3.99 if you dont sign up to the extra benefit account(which is how they are comparing themselves to prime)
