I love this conditioner. It is Curly Girl friendly so contains no nasties and smells incredible. It’s also versatile as it can be used as a leave in, normal conditioner or a mask for deep conditioning.

Visible hair is dead so you cannot "condition" it but coat the dead hair in chemicals to make it look shiny. Better hair is in your diet via your b lood supply to the follicles. All the rest is a con.

This one is one of the best.

Johnny Not really the point is it? All you are saying is that Garnier make the coating which looks best, it cannot do anything for the dead hair. Fine if that's what you want but "conditioning"

is an advertisers lie.

jongerry Women buy conditioner because they want it to make their hair look and feel better, which it does. Do they care that their hair is actually dead? I doubt it.

You appear to be suggesting that the word 'conditioner' is being used incorrectly. However the OED definition of Conditioner is: "a thing used to improve the condition of something, especially a liquid applied to the hair after shampooing."

Johnny In what way does a conditioner improve dead keratin? Scientific proof? The OED is quoting popular usage not fact. There is no evidence conditioner does anything other than make the hair look better and smoother . It does nothing for the hairs health. Facts don't give a toss for your opinion.

Women buy conditioner because they want it to make their hair look and feel better, which you agree it does.

Manufacturers are using the term conditioner correctly.

Sorry, but there is no con.

Is there anyone out there feeling conned because they used conditioner? If so, who?

Johnny The thing with a good con is that the victims don't even realise. It is all smoke and mirrors but if you are happy for people to be conned then fine. Leave it for wiser heads to understand btw not all women are fools .

jongerry As I said, no one is being conned. If you think they are, you are definitely not very wise.

The vast majority of buyers are very happy with the results as this chart illustrates.

No one is forcing them to buy it, and if they don't want to, they won't. No con.
