The Makita DHR242Z 18V SDS Plus Brushless Rotary Hammer Drill Bare Unit is ideal for professional and DIY use. It is a 24mm (15/16") Cordless Combination Hammer powered by an 18V Li-ion Battery. This rotary hammer is featuring an efficient Brushless DC motor providing higher productivity than that of 18V Cordless Combination Hammer model DHR202. This drill was Makita’s first Cordless Combination Hammers with a dust extraction system. Although it is an 18V hammer, thanks for its improved technology, it is able to drill in concrete as fast or faster than 24V Cordless Combination Hammer model BHR200. The ergonomically designed easy-to-grip handle is designed to give maximum power thrust and provide a sure and comfortable grip in any operation, overhead application, drilling with palm-up or palm-down grip as well. The 3 mode operation includes Rotation and Hammering, Hammering only and Rotation only. The tool body is separated into the upper and lower housings at the foot of handle portion where the houses are jointed with vibration absorbing cushion rubbers.
