Penderyn Single Malt has a light fruitiness, generous flavour and a subtle complexity. Our unique stills produce a spirit of extraordinary strength and purity. This is married with water from the Brecon Beacons National Park and matured in the finest ex-bourbon barrels, and finished in hand selected ex-Madeira wine casks.
Our unique still...'
Our unique Faraday stills are a single copper-pot still which produces a flavourful spirit of extraordinary strength and purity. They were designed by Dr David Faraday, descendent of the ground-breaking Victorian scientist, Michael Faraday. We have a pair of these stills in Brecon Beacons and Swansea, and a single still in Llandudno.
Whilst most Scottish and Irish distilleries use a conventional two or three-pot still system, the technology developed at Penderyn allows an extremely clean ‘flavourful’ spirit to be produced from a single still, which produces a spirit at an industry high of 92%, which means Penderyn’s whiskies are light, fruity and flavoursome.
We also have a pair of traditional ‘lantern’ stills in Brecon Beacons and Swansea.
