Hotel details
The 5-star Dubrovnik President Valamar Collection Hotel was the winner of the World Luxury Hotel Awards for Leading Luxury Hotel in 2021. The hotel also received the Travellers' Choice Award on TripAdvisor, 2022. Set in a secluded spot in the Babin Kuk area of the Lapad Peninsula, this beachfront hotel looks out across the Adriatic Sea to the Elaphiti Islands. The Daily Telegraph gives the hotel 8/10 rating, and praises the "stunning sunsets, and the bay illuminated by underwater lighting at night."
You'll have breakfast in the hotel buffet restaurant, which has standing island counters with show cooking. You can get made-to-order omelettes, warm pancakes, or traditional sausage and bacon in the mornings. The Miramare Restaurant is an à la carte restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes, and has panoramic views of the Elaphiti islands (supplements apply). We recommend booking dinner in the Momenti restaurant for dinner — it has magical views onto the palm-rimmed bay, or you can enjoy sundowners in the piano bar.
The hotel has an outdoor and indoor freshwater pool, sun loungers, and a wellness centre.
The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town of Dubrovnik, one of the world’s most magnificent walled cities, overlooking the calm blue Adriatic, is around four miles from the hotel.
About the Elaphiti Islands cruise
This small archipelago lies just off on Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. You'll cruise to Kolocep, Lopud, and Sipan, and make port to explore the red-roofed villages, stone monasteries, and sweeping bays. The cruise lasts a full day and includes a picnic lunch and drinks.
