You may be able to get this printer for free.
Buy it for £88.72 using the codes below, then you can claim £100 cashback when it arrives (you have to give them the product code).
This should make it free. And there is a chance you may end up with overage of £11.28 (£100 - £88.72).
But, as with all glitches, mis-prices and mega deals, please only buy this if you are comfortable with the fact that you will be spending £88.72 and may not get that money back for a little while as the cashback is processed and/or if they don't honour the deal. Please read the recent comments below for more information.
1) Add printer to your basket
2) You need to stack these 2 codes:
20% off 299000579
20% off 299000578
15% off 299000577
15% off 299000576
3) Checkout as normal and pay for printer
4) Claim your £50 cashback and £100 cashback from Brother using this link https://www.brother.co.uk/latest-promotions
Brother MFC-L8690CDW Colour Laser All-In-One Printer, Wireless, A4
Note from Tom - I have updated the post above with more information. Latest Deals has no idea whether this deal will work or not in terms of getting the cashback and making it free. Please read all the comments, do your own research and make an independent informed decision. Only purchase with the full knowledge and understanding there is a possibility you may not get your cashback.
The link to register your account on the brother link they send via email doesn't work so it's a bit of a risk
I didn't get a confirmation email and I cannot see it under my order history, is this the same for everyone?
How does the cash back work for the printer? Overall will i be spending nothing? I've never used cash back before.
yep, 2 coupons only but that gets you under £50 which you get with the cashback via the Brothers promotion. A bit risky as you have to claim for this after the printer arrives as you need the product code to redeem the cashback. It takes upto 2 hours for the order to show up in Order History
It says on the end of purchase that it will be in order history within 2 hours of purchase
Yes this is risky. T&C state "cashback is invalidated by coupon codes" so you are going to be rejected and pay £50 for a printer you don't want. But that's greed for you.....
Where does it say this? I've looked on the T&C on Brothers' site and cannot see what you are seeing
I have an email through chat with Brother and they have confirmed that this only applies if it's a discount/code through Brother themselves. It is ok if the code is through the store. They also checked the codes given by Tom and they said that is not one of their codes so it is ok to claim the warranty and cashback.
I’m looking and can’t see anything either regarding use a promo code and you cNt claim etc
I brought both with two codes on each. awaiting confirmation email but it does take two hours
Thanks fab for a back up printer as the one I have is on its way out.
Hope all goes through properly and the cashback once it arrives
We will see!!!
Still worth buying the £110.45 model without using vouchers and then claiming £100 cashback though right?
still hoping the cashback. If I knew this earlier I would of just took the cashback and left the vouchers! fingers crossed
I paid the extra £1 for order care so can return it for free should the cashback deal not be applicable and it was still under £50
distance selling regulations gives you 28 days after DELIVERY to return goods. That's 14 days to cancel and 14 days after cancellation to return by law
DanielCollins yes but probably at your own cost ? The order care covers that cost
RebeccaDoherty You're right, just checked "You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Only after prior consultation Staples may agree to collect the products (free of charge), for instance for products that cannot be returned by normal post due to their size."
I can't see an issue being able to resell this at the cost with the discount if i'm honest though
It says cashback was only on between May and End of August! Is it still on going? Is it worth the risk
Ordered one and contacted Brother direct as cashback can be void with promotions but they said it's ok as it's not a promotion through Brother .
I was always getting offers for free printers when self employed but it’s the inks and toners where they make the money. For home the inks would last ages so could be worth a try..
Only the bigger printer is in-stock now. It's coming to £88.32 with the code.
There should be £100 cashback, so you'll end up with just under £20 profit.

that your order was one of the affected

it seems that due to website issues
5:10 pm
João Francisco
there was a problem with a majority of orders placed today

which lead to the cancelation of these by the system
This is the smaller printer. so expect all to be cancelations
I've ordered both, if I don't get the cashback, I will just put them in my car and take them back to store, a fair gamble that will only cost me petrol money if it doesn't work.
just checked my order history and there are 3 transactions for today, one cancelled, then one processing, then another cancelled. The first cancelled one is the £13.00 one from this morning, the processing one is the £110.00 white one and I assume the last one is the smaller one.
Is this still working for anyone else? Looking to test it but is there anything else I should be careful with before ordering?
You can get a 'free' printer from IJT Direct (a choice of printers, inkjet or laser), except that you have to buy some of their own-brand cartridges.
