massmc01 I think it depends on what you are doing. I'm only using a Celeron based laptop to write this which has 4GB of memory which is non-upgradeable. I only use the laptop for browsing, video, music, office applications and other minor applications and very light gaming which the Celeron is capable of. 4GB is fine for me although I have debloated the operating system. This laptop has 8GB of memory and its a bit faster than mine but the graphics hardware is not much better. It also isn't going to be amazing for gaming only marginally better than the Celeron I would think 8GB is ample for this level of laptop. If you had a gaming laptop or capable desktop PC with decent graphics card then you can certainly make the case for 16GB being required as a minimum level.

My laptop is fast and responsive with no lag and boots up in 7 seconds. It has a Celeron N3450 processor and dual channel memory (rare for a Celeron laptop). It has battery runtime from about 6 to 10 hours which is very decent and is completely fanless so silent at all times. However I've removed all the un-necessary Windows bloatware and personal data monetizing etc.

That is an amazing price and such a huge discount. For general everyday use this is perfect and 512GB will be ok to back up your phone etc.

Someone mentioned it has a 8GB Soldered RAM which cannot be upgraded but how many of us will actually do this. I know I haven't.

Great find Pikon 💪🏽

As ever with a refurbished laptop often they come with battery packs with reduced capacity and you may be forced to use the laptop from socket to socket rather than being a true portable device. While replacement battery packs may be available it can be uneconomic to replace. Dell laptops can have quite expensive genuine replacement battery packs and many modern laptops need disassembly to replace the battery pack.
