Alleged RRP of £499 is a joke but with the £50 voucher & the 12 months office 365 for the price it's a decent holiday, school bag laptop....or even occasional work laptop when out of the office

Seems like it was a good deal. I can't see the voucher now but I'm not a prime member and might be a prime deal. The Celeron processor is not new, it came out in 2017 but wasn't a bottom of the range dual core processor, more of a step up Celeron so still seems ok. As ever with these low power laptops use some debloating software to speed them up. Microsoft likes to track users for commercial purposes and this also slows down the computer so its best removed. I personally don't see the point of Microsoft Office 365 as its only a year before it moves to a subscription service. There are free alternatives or put on something like Office 2016.

If I get a computer with 365 I pretty much remove it straight away as I don't want to create files that require it later. Office 2016 is just as good in my opinion. Subscription payments are like vampire payments that are constantly taking small payments and over the years can be a significant amount of money. £8 a month is almost a £100 a year so over 10 years is £1000 which is crazy when there are many free alternatives. I'd say its important to remove 365 as soon as you get it.
