Whether you want the polish and poise of Samuel’s fine dining experience, or the relaxed bistro feel of The Terrace Restaurant & Bar, you are guaranteed high quality food that showcases the produce from the Estate.
Located within the Swinton Country Club & Spa, The Terrace's seasonal ‘estate to plate’ menu is defined by the fruit, herbs and vegetables grown in the neighbouring walled garden, prepared by Sam Miller and his team of chefs in the showcase kitchen. A lovely restaurant with a stunning small plate collection, ideal for sharing, combines the best of Swinton produce with globally inspired flavours. The Terrace is open from Monday to Sunday and has a relaxed and casual dress code.
Meanwhile, Samuel’s fine dining restaurant with menus that emphasise seasonal and local produce inspired by the fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the hotel’s four acre walled garden - the largest hotel kitchen garden in the UK. Head Chef Jake Jones creates stunning dishes with refined, innovative modern cooking that skilfully and respectfully use the garden produce. Samuel's is open from Wednesday to Sunday each week.

Opened in 2017, the world-class Swinton Country Club & Spa offers a new concept for UK spas - spacious, contemporary and reflecting every bit of its 20,000-acre environment and Yorkshire heritage. Enjoy relaxing spaces, stunning facilities, outdoor activities and spa treatment expertise for a memorable spa experience.
The first floor treatment suite includes three zoned relaxation rooms, eight treatment rooms (including two couple’s suites) and a welcome lounge. The spa’s trusted brands, ELEMIS and Bamford, work with the spa to create amazing and memorable treatments which reflect the Swinton ethos. The beauty cottage includes a treatment room, manicure, pedicure and blow-dry bar.
An 18-metre indoor pool offers light and spacious lap swimming and lounging, and a hydrotherapy pool provides therapeutic bathing with a choice of massage features. For outdoor relaxation the spa garden is equipped with a 10-metre outdoor natural pool that offers environmentally friendly, natural bathing in bio-filtered water, as well as a cedar hot tub.
The Thermal Suite includes an aroma steam room which features seasonal natural fragrance in 100% humidity for deep muscular relaxation, a salt steam room to ease breathing congestion and enhance the immune system, and a Finnish sauna which provides dry heat in a fragrant wood cabin. There are showers and foot spas to help you regulate your temperature as you start and finish your thermal journey.
Tucked away in the corner of the pool garden, there is also an alfresco sauna where you can hide away with a few friends around the fire pit and heat up in the herbal sauna, featuring herbs from the garden.
Location
Once you've roamed the Dales or gone for an easy stroll nearby, you can explore the Druid’s Temple - a mini Stonehenge in the woods on the Swinton Estate with fabulous moorland views. It's found next to Swinton Bivouac, the Estate’s glamping destination with yurts, tree lodges and a cool café and bar, serving drinks, delicious cakes and light meals.
