When is the Boots 70% off sale in 2023?
We predict the Boots sale will launch between late January to mid-March. The exact date is a closely guarded secret and tends to be decided last minute by Boots management.
When were the previous Boots 70% off sales in-store?
- Tuesday 15th March 2022
- Tuesday 27th April 2021 - 3 months late due to COVID restrictions
- Friday 31st January 2020 - Cancelled and replaced with Pay Day sale due to COVID restrictions
- Friday 1st February 2019
- Friday 19th January 2018
- Friday 20th January 2017
- Wednesday 13th January 2016
- Wednesday 14th January 2015
- Wednesday 15th January 2014
The Boots 70% off sale used to be predictable, mid-January. This changed from 2019 and due to COVID restrictions, the last few years have featured sales at later dates in-store. For this reason 2023 is difficult to predict. Boots has remained tight-lipped about when and if it will do a 70% off sale in-store.
Is the Boots Sale Online?
Boots has already launched an up to 50% off sale online. Over 1,700+ products are on offer. Christmas products are reduced to clear:

What is the Boots 70% Off Sale
The Boots 70% Off Sale is hotly anticipated every January, when Boots boost their sale discount on Christmas Gift Sets, Fragrance etc. from 50% to 70% to clear their remaining stock.
In the past, it used to be both online and in-store. In recent years, the online sale has remained at 50% off (as it is available now) and in-store has been 70% off with limited stock.
Between 2014 - 2018 the sale was predictably in mid-January. However, from 2019 this changed and now it is a guessing game. COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 and 2021 cancelled and delayed the Boots 70% off sale.
Boots 70% Sale Hints and Tips
If you want something specific, don’t wait for the discount boost from 50% off to 70% off. Grab it now whilst it’s still in stock.
LD Member Johnny said, "Personally, I prefer to order online. That's because you can select what you want from the biggest range possible and avoid the risk of things not being in stock in-store."
"The best stuff sells out fast in the bigger Boots stores at 50% off, and even more so at 70% off. Nipping into a smaller store is often a good way of bagging a bargain already sold out elsewhere."
"When the Boots 70% off sale starts, to avoid disappointment it’s a good idea to take a more serendipitous approach. Merrily take your pick from what’s actually still available in your local store when the 70% boost starts, rather than pin your hopes on something specific beforehand."
You can click and collect from one of 2,200 Boots stores for £1.50.
Standard delivery costs £3.50 or free when you spend £25 or more.
I just hope it’s earlier this time I’m looking forward for it thank you so much for sharing
One of the highlights of the new year is the 70% off sale at Boots, my shop has been in tier 4 since before Christmas so will be big bargains when it opens
There is a few things I need from Boots, they always have really good offers on especially after Christmas so thanks for sharing. Happy New Year to all my fellow Latest Deal Members and staff!!
did not buy anything during christmas sale. so will select some. Great find. Thanks for posting this deal
Can't wait for this to start, it always a great deal and lots to be have for gifts later in the year
I think that's the point - once the 70% offers start, it's the final clearance of whatever's left.
TimbhoyBilly It is true I bought things only last year in Boots at 90% off and have done for a few years!
It used to start the 3rd Wednesday of the month but last year it didn't start until 1st week of Feb.
I got a couple of great items in the 70% off sale last year. But agree no point waiting if you really have your heart set on something
This is the first time in years I haven't bought anything in the boots sale after Christmas. I think it's been a bit naff this year.
Just hope it happens online this year
but can’t see much been left mine was nearly empty last week of sale stuff
This is really handy to know thanks so much for sharing will be great to stock up on some well priced gifts
It normally happens on the 3rd week of January for the 70% but I have noticed they have been chaging it as they know everyone is waiting for it I have picked up some brilliant deals over the years don't know what this year will be like
Boots 70% OFF JANUARY SALE START DATES IN PREVIOUS YEARS (as stated above):
Friday 31st January 2020
Friday 1st February 2019
Friday 19th January 2018
Thank you for sharing.Never had a chance to get something on their sale as always was too late . Hope this year will have a chance to pop in to the store and find something.
Yes, in 2019 it started a week later than I predicted. That's the trouble with predictions!
It’s usually in store only, and there is little left online. As much as I love the boots sale I doubt they’ll be able to manage this with COVID-19 restrictions safely...
I would think that's a strong possibility, and perhaps more low-key in store this year.
